First Class Lounge Access

The airline’s main terminals in Hong Kong have two First Class Lounges (The Pier First Class Lounge and The Wing First Class Lounge). As part of One World Alliance, if a dedicated Cathay lounge is not available, passengers can access the airline’s partner lounges to ensure a luxurious start to their trip.

The Cathay Pacific First Class Suite

The Cathay First Class Suite is a semi-enclosed suite. The cabin’s elegant design is light, spacious and simply a beautiful place to relax in.

The suites are padded with comfortable fabrics and soft leather. One of the things passengers will notice first is the sheer width of the seat.  It is one of the widest in the first class market and is particularly noticeable in the lay flat position.

This reclinable seat can be adjusted to almost any position depending on your requirements using the handy 4.3″ touchscreen to the side of the seat. The seats also come with an inbuilt ‘masseuse’ function.  When it is time to rest, the cabin crew provides a turn down service with a thick mattress, ultra large pillows, and a luxurious 500 thread count duvet.

For those looking to do a little work inflight, there is ample room to spread out and use the suite as your in-flight office. Cathay now has in-flight wifi on most of its long-haul aircraft and each suite comes with charging stations to ensure your devices stay topped up.

Inflight Entertainment

Cathay’s In-Flight Entertainment has a highly international flavor with a wide range of programming available to cater for any taste or mood. The airline is progressively rolling out new high definition 18.5 Inch screens into its first class suites. Each suite is also fitted with a pair of Bose noise-canceling multimedia headphones to ensure a cinematic experience.

Cathay First Class Dining

Cathay has teamed up with several local, and international Michelin starred chefs to create a truly exceptional first class dining experience. The menu has an international theme but for an authentic taste of China and Hong Kong be sure to sample the airline’s range of East Asian dishes.

Each meal is served fresh and on-demand allowing passengers to order what they want, when they want it.

To complement your meal, the airline has handpicked some of the world’s best champagnes (Cathay regularly rotates it’s champagne offerings however it appears to be currently serving either Krug or Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2006). The airline’s wine list often features wines from some of the worlds best wine regions including New Zealand, France, Napa, and Chile.   The cuisine experience is topped off with signature caviar (served with blinis), gourmet desserts, chocolates, fine cheeses and freshly brewed illy coffee and Jing teas.
